Last week I was given the blinky over there -----> as a featured designer for Delightful Inspiration! This week we were given the image labeled Bullfrogs and Butterflies which included some cute sayings. Here is my card:
The frog is popped up on dimensionals. The flowers are popped up and glittered. I added the 2 sets of flowers on the bottom corners, popped and glittered them as well.

Man Card challenge
Like many others I don't make that many man cards. Not that I don't need them, I'm just inclined to used ribbon, flowers, rhinestones, glitter etc. Stuff not usually found on a man card. Today I am entering this card into a few man challenges. Here is my card:
Notice I did put glitter on the wings? Couldn't help it -teehee. Here are the challenges and their links:
Cards for men-make a masculine card using circles
Bunny Zoe's Crafts- make a man card
Stamping Vacation -use the words ' a round'

When I gorw up , clowing around challenge
You have until May 3rd to play Stamping Vacation's challenge "when I grow up" - clowns. When I first started decorating this clown many, many sayings popped up in my head. With 3 small children everyday I am subject to a fashion show daily. The children dress themselves several times as we try to get them to 1) put on matching socks 2) wear their own clothes 3) dress appropriately for the weather 4) wear their clothes the right way. I'm not to picky, I totally think kids should express themselves. However, t-shirts in winter, pants that almost come up to your knees (because they belong to your brother), and a soccer sock paired with a tube sock just isn't right-lol. Anywho, the children thought I dressed him up 'cool'. All I could think of is how much my children make me giggle (especially when it comes to their fashion sense-teehee) Hope he makes you giggle too.

Catch the bug challenge time!
Hello everyone! I hope your had a wonderful weekend. Here in Canada, some people have to work while others get the Easter Monday off. Fortunately, my hubbie was one of the lucky ones and we were able to spend 4 days together as a family enjoying friends and family visits. So with that many days off, what's a girl to do??? Craft, Craft, Craft :)
The Catch the Bug blog is run by Bugaboo stamps. If you haven't heard of them, you should check them out. Very cute stamps! This weeks challenge is to make a 'rain' card. Here I used a Nana Vic image I had in my stash. Although I promised to only use scraps for my cards until I ran out, I got a wicked deal on the peel and stick borders (so they are new-but with more than half off who can blame me right?) Anywho, here is my card:
I would also like to enter this into Catered Crop Challenge #10
for the recipe I used :mini prints, some pastels, flowers and spring.
You have a few more days to jump in and play, so get to crafting-lol.

Get Ogre it! Hambo Challenge
It's Hambo time again, and if you have seen past posts you now how much I love them! For playing along last week I received this Ogre digi with sentiments. (yes, I made it a girl-lol)The challenge was to use him, one of the sentiments, and make a distressed card. What is distressed? Well that means a few things. It can be using inks to give an image an older feeling, sandpapering up your paper or, as I did here, ruff up some of your edges. That's the beauty of crafting-use the guidelines and make a unique creation! You have until tonight to play along.
The layout is from the Stamping Vacation challenge called "Sketch Therapy" you have until May 2nd to play along there!
The inside says "Cause stress makes you U-G-L-Y" Yep, warped sense of humour I possess!
I would also like to enter this into the Stamping Vacation challenge -Name that card-live in laughter
Have a great day-keep warm!

You make my heart smile!
This week at the Delightful Inspiration blog we were given the Ladybug Balancing Act digi stamp. This stamp is so cute and very timely as we are starting to get some buds showing on our plants/trees. Yeah! Spring is coming :) Anywho, I decided to use my favourite sentiment on this card. I often tell my children, when they say they love me, they "make my heart smile" . Nothing beats hearing that! Here is my card:
I'd like to enter this into the Stamping Vacation " for your amusement" challenge. We are to use spots-ribbon, and ladybugs.

Garden Party Card
This delightful image was a freebie from Delightful Inspiration. Want to get a freebie next week? Head on over and learn how you can get freebies every week just by playing along :)
Here is my card that I am giving to a wonderful person I know who is recovering from a double mastectomy. Today was her first day out and she really was enjoying the spring weather. So I thought I would send along a cute note with her son tomorrow letting her know how lovely it was to see her! The inside reads :Spring is a time of new beginnings.
So the card didn't turn out as I wanted. I was having a rough day today (and of course I left things til the last minute-oops) So here are my learning tips: (enjoy the chuckle at my expense)
1) When using glitter, wait until it dries before you decide to colour the rest of your image (or keep baby wipes close by for your hands)
2) When dry embossing on the BigShot, make sure you turn your paper the right way. Otherwise instead of 'popped up' dots you get indents.
3) When using the coluzzle, dont' pick it up and move it half way through cutting. Believe it or not its hard to match up and may cause your oval to be a little off (giggles)
Have a great night!

Stamping Vacation Challenge -no fancy borders
What I love about Stamping Vacation is you have a whole month to play each of their challenges. That suits my schedule well, between the hubbie and the kids some times crafting is hard. Oh poor me, can't craft 24/7-lol.
The challenge that I am entering this time is called No fancy Borders. I had this cute little monkey from Stamping up on my desk and went to work. I love this sock monkey! I paper pieced him, stamped the background in bananas, and then added some glitter.
Have a great night!

When I grow up -challenge time!
I made a card using a new circle sentiment image from La La Studio. There are a few different sentiments in the set but I thought this one went best with my card. The image was a freebie from Sassy Cheryl -isn't she cute?
Here is my card that I am entering into Stamping Vacation's Challenge Fountain of Youth-playing dress up.
You have until April 20th to play along for a fab prize, so head on over to Stamping Vacation and play along!

Little House on the Prairie Card
Here is a card I am entering for one of the month long challenges at Stamping Vacation. It's called 'Watched This" and the theme is Little House on the Prairie. Well, I have a small admission. I have never seen this show. Yes, it was on when I was little but I never had an interest in it, perhaps because I was often called "Laura Ingalls" as a teen. I do know that Micheal Landon was in the show and suffered from cancer. So with that limited knowledge I made this card of 'hope'. It's called an easel card and I got this image from an internet colouring page.
The sentiment reads: Why let worries weigh you down when hope can lift you up? Hope you find a little inspiration from it :)

Pick 3-Stamping Vacation Challenge
Hop on over to Stamping Vacation and get in on the challenges. You will love the flexibility they allow you to have - gets your mojo flowing :) This Pick 3 Challenge had a lot of components to it so I'll let you read what you can select from there. I used more than three things from the list, here they are : dry embossing (little circles on background paper), vanilla cardstock, star brad (which is also a circle-on the list), corner punch, and a sentiment. The image is from Teddy Bo.com. Here is my card:
Lots Of Paper -Stamping Vacation Challenge
Stamping Vacation Challenge-Lots of paper. Use up your patterned paper, use squares and circles.
Well this one was a little easy for me to do as I was making up this little cutie for a baby shower invite. It uses lots of left over patterned paper placed into squares, then cut out with a die. I stamped the elephant on a circle and then added a scalloped circle under it. Added a ribbon and voila-baby shower invite card. Would I make a million of these again? NO! I hated gluing down all the little squares. It was certainly a labour of love (hugs Leanne). Anywho, enough grumbling here is my card:

Get the Music in You -Stamping Vacation
I am having so much fun with the Stamping Vacation blog. It's a great way to use up some of my scraps as well. That's my goal this year-use up scraps first. So I tucked away all my uncut paper (except my paper to print my digis on) So far I have made every card you see on this blog with scraps. Yep-haven't cut into any fresh paper! I know, hard to believe!!! Anywho, the challenge for this card is called "Get the Music In You"-you can use the title of the song provided or simply be inspired by the song. Well this song was very sad, so here is my With Sympathy card:
I embossed the dark brown and cut it a 1/2 shorter than the back. I added a polka dot strip to the inside. The tag was a precut one I had hanging around. I stamped it with an angel stamp from SU, and added glitter to her. I then made a cloud template and sponged blue around it to make clouds.
Hope you have enjoyed the cards I made today. Don't be shy, leave your thoughts :)

Getting Geographical @ Stamping Vacation
This challenge at Stamping Vacation is about getting geographical, particularly CAIRNS, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA. My sister spent about 2 years total in Australia doing nursing. I honestly thought she'd never come back the way she described the beautiful beaches, the kindness and laid back atmosphere/people. But...she got a little home sick when she met her little nephew for the first time. Eventually she decided she wanted to be home and be with her family (despite the new boyfriend in Australia-lol). We are so glad she is home, although she still says how mush she misses being there almost 7 years later.
Okay, enough rambling! Here is my beach card for my sister :)

Animal Applause -Stamping Vacation Challenge
Told you I was busy crafting today! I came across a website called melonheadz that gives away free digis. She has some adorable images. This octopus is from her blog. When I first saw it, I thought awww how cute is that? When my hubbie saw it it said " Um, does that really make sense?" I don't know how she did her math, but I love Drew Barrymore so who cares? lol. I am entering this card into the Stamping Vacation Animal Applause Challenge-to use any animal that appears to have arms
Extra! Extra Challenge-Stamping Vacation
So one of the benefits of being sick is the kids can't come near me.....sounds like a crafting day to me-lol. I made this card with an image from here. I think she is so sweet, don't you? I am entering this card into the Extra! Extra! Challenge at Stamping Vacation. The challenge is to be inspired to create a card by the book What's New, Cupcake? Here is my take:
Hey check this out!
