It's Hambo time!

It's time for the Pastel Parade Challenge at the Hambo Hoedown this week. The challenge includes; using selected spring colours, the fabulous new digi Bunny Parade, and making an easel card.
Here is my card:
I coloured the Bunny in pencil crayons using all the colours suggested. I then popped him up on the top of the easel card. I distressed the edges of the circles for texture (which look better in person)
Thanks for popping by :)

It's Challenge time at Clear it Out!

Tuesday is the start of a brand new challenge at the Clear it Out Blog. There are some exciting new changes coming up and we encourage you to pop over and join the fun!

This week the sponsor is A Day for Daisies. I used the digi Bunny Ears and my 'stash' of pastel papers

I'd also like to enter this card into the DYSU Challenge-use your favourite colour, which for card making, is kraft. I love the neutral tone as it goes with so much!

Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think :)

It's Challenge time!

This week the challenge at (Dustin) Pike's Playground is to make a card around the theme "my life is a zoo"
Well, that certainly is a true statement at our house! Especially with March Break this week with the monkeys being home (Caa-ra-zy!)
I used several images I had picked up from Dustin last time he had a fabulous sale. I cut them out, popped some of them up, and made a card suited for our family to give
Dustin is also having a great sale on, so pop on over and join the fun :)

Cards for a Cause-Dustin Pike

Dustin Pike is at it again! (Bless his heart)
Last card rally he had his followers send cards to a boy who was ill named Dylan, this time round he asked us to send cards to a child named Emily. You can read about his post here
I used  Wednesday card sketch from The Outlawz for my card.

Of course I added a little glitter and bling-what girl wouldn't love that!
I hope you will join in and send a card along to Emily to brighten her day. As an added bonus to doing a wonderful deed, you get the image above for free.
Have a great day!

A new challenge at Darla's Digi Challenge blog

'April Showers ' is the theme at Digi Darla's this week. My card was inspired by what follows the rain in April, spring flowers! I love watching the flowers grow, I love the season of new growth. I also LOVE this adorable image from DigiDarla's.
My sentiment reads: I hope some day to meet God, because I want to thank Him for the flowers.
It is a quote I found on the internet and unfortunately cannot recall who the author is. (if you know please let me know so I can credited him)
Thanks for popping by!

It's Hambo time!

This week at the Hambo Hoedown the challenge is to use stripes. I opted for a fairly simple card this week using the fabulous new digi BAILEY HUG by Hambo Stamps.
I embossed the background with dots, coloured Bailey with pencil crayons, and popped up the 'hug'. Thanks for stopping by :)

It's Challenge time!

It's been a while since I've played along at MelJen's blog . But today, despite my awful head cold I've jumped in and created a card. I mean how could I not? They are celebrating  their 100th challenge -woot, woot! This week is a sketch challenge.
Here is my take
I used up some scraps, and coloured the image with pencil crayons. The sentiment is a rub on and the bones I found were clip art pics I copied several times to make a pile.

Thanks for looking, if you have time you should play along :)

The Outlawz CAS challenge

Monday's is CAS challenge day (clean and simple). This week the challenge was to make a card using 2 patterned papers. Here is my take using some left over scraps:
I layered white cardstock with the words 'true love' onto the white background. I then took a blank piece of paper an layered my scraps (cutting it into a heart shape) I distressed the edges and added ink around the edges as well as along the patterned paper edges. I then popped the heart up on dimensionals :)
Thanks for looking, have a great day!

It's Hambo Time!

It's time for another fabulous challenge at the Hambo Hoedown.
Not only did they just celebrate their one year anniversary as a challenge blog, but this month, they celebrate 10 years as a stamp company! So happy birthday and congrats on your milestone Hambo!

This weeks challenge was to play tic tac toe.We had to use 3 items. I chose; orange, blue, and buttons for a diagonal line.
The fish image is called "SOLEMATES" and the sentiment was included. It was a freebie from Hambo Stamps because I played along last week. I found my aqua painters (that I hadn't used in a long time) and painted both the fish, as well as, the sentiment. The fish are popped up giving it more dimension.

There are some fabulous surprises over at Hambo this month as they celebrate their 10th year, so hop on over and check it out!

Thanks for looking :)

Think Spring at Digi Darla's Challenge Blog!

Well this certainly is an appropriate challenge for me today as we enjoyed record high temperatures. It was so nice to enjoy the sun and watch the children play.

The challenge at Digi Darla's  this week is to make a card with the theme "think spring" . Here is my card inspired by my daughter who is growing up wayyyyyy to fast for me!

Thanks for visiting! Please leave me a comment and let me know your here :)

It's Hambo time!

This week's challenge at the Hambo Hoedown is a sketch. By playing along last week I received Hambo Stamps' latest digi called MONSTER WEIGHTS.  There are some fabulous sentiments that go along with it although I must confess I was thinking of a placing LMFAO's song lyrics on the card instead   (  "girl look at that body, girl look at that body, ugh, I work out!" )  teehee

Here is my card
I printed the monster on kraft and chalked his edges in white. I added the star brad (from SU) after I added white to it to calm the shine on it. The chocolate chip ribbon is from SU. Patterned papers from my scrap bin.
Thanks for looking :)
