NettieG's 2nd Blog Challenge

It's challenge time over at NettieG's Digital Gems blog site. The amazing image of Mary and baby Jesus was sent to me FREE for participating in last weeks challenge. It's not to late for you to join in. Hope on over to her blog to get the scoop!  I didn't dress this card up to much as I wanted Jesus to be the focal point as He should be. I added some glitter to him which changed his garments from beige to a yellow-ish colour. The sentiment is from SU, as is the Christmas paper. I have a feeling I will be making many more cards using this digi stamp, it is one of the most beautiful images I have ever seen. Thanks for looking!

Nativity Card

These cute little digi's are from Dustin Pike. It was fun doing all the colouring and popping them up on dimensionals. I think i may go back and add some bling to the star. See that stamped SU sentiment? I hate when I make a card and the sentiment doesn't stamp perfectly. In hind site I should have embossed it so you could see it better. I was trying to keep the main focus on Jesus so I didn't want it to dark-but it didn't work out. Thank goodness crafting is so forgiving! I'm going to stamp it on another piece of brown card, cut it to size and voila-it's fixed :)
Merry Christmas everyone!

Celebrate You

Just messing around with some Basic Grey papers here. I LOVE Basic Grey paper. It's great quality and they have different 'paper lines' that all match. The stamps used here are from SU. This card I figured could be used for a birthday or maybe a card for someone who recently got a promotion. Have a wonderful day, I'm off to make a card for Nettie G's next challenge!

NettieG's Very First Blog Challenge submission

I came across this adorable free sewing tree image from NettieG's Digital Gems blog and thought I would enter it in for their weekly contest. Jump on board and make your own creation. The image is free and you get a new one sent to you weekly if you participate! How cool is that?
I was tempted to write "O Christmas Tree" above but I can't write at the moment. I popped up the tree and singers on dimensionals. Hope you enjoy it, I'm looking forward to next weeks challenge :)

Challenge time

This is a card I entered for a colour challenge at CDAC. The colours to use were browns, reds, and cream. I didn't have cream on hand so I used white for my image, then sponged around it in brown. I added a little glitter to his hat. The ho,ho,ho was to be cut out using my BigShot but I cannot do that right now. I used liquid applique instead.( I am not to fussy on how that part turned out as it started to spread away (not just puff up) from my original straight lines.)
Not to bad for a girl with a broken wrist on one hand, and a broken finger on the other.
Image is from Linda Tieu. Papers and ribbon from Stampin' Up.

*****yeah I won the challenge! Check out my badge on the right :)******
