It's time for the Pastel Parade Challenge at the Hambo Hoedown this week. The challenge includes; using selected spring colours, the fabulous new digi Bunny Parade, and making an easel card.
Here is my card:
I coloured the Bunny in pencil crayons using all the colours suggested. I then popped him up on the top of the easel card. I distressed the edges of the circles for texture (which look better in person)
Thanks for popping by :)

It's Hambo time!
This week at the Hambo Hoedown the challenge is to use stripes. I opted for a fairly simple card this week using the fabulous new digi BAILEY HUG by Hambo Stamps.
I embossed the background with dots, coloured Bailey with pencil crayons, and popped up the 'hug'. Thanks for stopping by :)

It's Hambo Time!
It's time for another fabulous challenge at the Hambo Hoedown.
Not only did they just celebrate their one year anniversary as a challenge blog, but this month, they celebrate 10 years as a stamp company! So happy birthday and congrats on your milestone Hambo!
This weeks challenge was to play tic tac toe.We had to use 3 items. I chose; orange, blue, and buttons for a diagonal line.
The fish image is called "SOLEMATES" and the sentiment was included. It was a freebie from Hambo Stamps because I played along last week. I found my aqua painters (that I hadn't used in a long time) and painted both the fish, as well as, the sentiment. The fish are popped up giving it more dimension.
There are some fabulous surprises over at Hambo this month as they celebrate their 10th year, so hop on over and check it out!

It's Hambo time!
This week's challenge at the Hambo Hoedown is a sketch. By playing along last week I received Hambo Stamps' latest digi called MONSTER WEIGHTS. There are some fabulous sentiments that go along with it although I must confess I was thinking of a placing LMFAO's song lyrics on the card instead ( "girl look at that body, girl look at that body, ugh, I work out!" ) teehee
Here is my card
I printed the monster on kraft and chalked his edges in white. I added the star brad (from SU) after I added white to it to calm the shine on it. The chocolate chip ribbon is from SU. Patterned papers from my scrap bin.
Thanks for looking :)

It's Challenge Time!
This week at the Hambo Hoedown the challenge theme is anything goes!
As you know from my previous posts Hambo just celebrated it's one year anniversary as a challenge blog. They mentioned one of the ladies participated in EVERY challenge they had last year, so I had to go and see just how many I had participated in. Last year I only missed 3-4 challenges. That's it! Can you tell how much I love Hambo stamps? teehee
Anywho, one of my monkeys has done something to my printer -agh!!! So I resorted to my stash of digis I had already printed. I chose to use the digi 'bailey cupcake' from Hambo Stamps. I used some left over ribbon, border stickers, and scrap paper. I included in the photo the goodie bag topper I made a few weeks ago with the same digi. I think this would make a cute little party package for someone, don't you?
Thanks for looking, have a fabulous day!

It's Hambo time!
It's time for another fabulous Hambo Hoedown Challenge! This week we were given the image 'Dragon' to use for free, just by playing along last week! How cool is that? We had to use gold/silver in our cards. Here is my take:
I added my 'silver' by using a Stampin' Up brad I had in my stash.
I used 'gold' by adding gold highlights in my fire. (fire image found online on a colouring page site). Did you see my toasted marshmellow? I used Liquid applique :)

Hambo Hoedown-Challenge time!
Hello everyone! I am so excited to see the snow falling on the ground this weekend. The kids are just loving it and since I have a nasty little cold, I didn't have to shovel it -teehee.
I've been given a little 'mommy time' this weekend and so between having some much needed catch-up sleep, I've also been able to craft!
Here is a card I made using the Jan 25th free digital image called Caped Chick from Hambo Stamps. The challenge this week at the Hambo Hoedown Challenge Blog is to use buttons, brads, or bows.
There is a sentiment for the inside that came with the digi : No....it's a bird.
That 'cracks'me up-lol. I love the sense of humour behind Hambo!
Thanks for visiting!

Hambo Hoedown Birthday Bash!
Hambo is celebrating it's one year birthday as a challenge blog! We were given another ADORABLE image from the new Bailey line called : Bailey Cupcake. To check out the details and play along go here
I chose to do a little bit of a different project this week. A friend of mine is celebrating her son's first birthday and needed some party favours/cake toppers. Here is what I made:
The odds were stacked against me today. These were originally going to be cake toppers for his cupcakes, then I discoverd my hubbie ate the icing straight-out-of-the-container!!!
So plan B was to make these until I can get more icing. Since the children coming are so small, I was going to put in corn pops. I thought they would be cute. However, my children (who are not allowed sweet cereal) found them and ate them! I was in a losing battle today-lol. So I raided my candy stash and found some jelly beans. Looks like I'll have some grocery shopping to do later!
I'd like to also enter this into the DYSU Challenge-anything goes!

Winner, Winner Chicken Dinner!
Guess what I won from the Hambo Hoedown....
Here is what they said "Best in Show goes to 6. Laura W ! We loved her clean layout and how she made her cased card her own with some minor changes. Grab the trophy, Laura, for all to see!"
Cool huh?
You should hop on over their blog and see what is happening! A Happy Birthday celebration is in full swing, it's been one year the challenge blog has been up. I think last year I may have missed 2-3 challenges total. The images and challenges are fun, go check it out here

Hambo Hoedown Challenge Time!
I hope you enjoyed the Hambo hop as much as I did. I enjoyed both participating as well as seeing what everyone created! It always amazes me to see how there can be so many interpretations of the same digital image.
That brings me to this weeks Hambo Hoedown challenge. This week we are to CASE-ing (Copy and Share Everything). There were so many examples to choose from but I chose this image
Isn't that stinkin' cute? If you click on the picture it will take you to the gallery located at Hambo Stamps.
Here is my take on the card using last weeks image Bailey.
I'd also like to enter this into the following challenge:

Green Eggs and ..Hambo Blog Hop!
Welcome to "Green Eggs and ......Hambo" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo customers and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict book titles! It might be our favorite book, or just one that was fun to design.
If you arrived here from PAT you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!
A prize will be awarded to one participant whose book-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way! Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hoedown blog, as well as on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, February 1.
My creation is based on this book
Nope, never read the book. I did a search on Amazon because I wanted to try and use a Hambo image that one might think is only for a specific occasion. So I chose this image (St. Pat Hamster), and searched the key words rainbow and pot of gold. Here is my take on the book:
Now dance on over to Stephanie for another great book!

It's Hambo time!
Its time for a new challenge from the Hambo Hoedown and your not going to want to miss this one! Not only have we been introduced to a digi line called 'Bailey' but check this out. You can make a card and make a difference to a little one.
Send A Smile 4 Kids is a charitable blog created for the purpose of collecting donated handmade cards to be distributed to children while they are inpatient at Children’s Hospitals.
I love to make cards and give them away. In 2007 I started 'anonymously' making cards for our church to give to those in need. Those who are shut-ins, those in the hospital, those who have lost, and those special celebrations. It gives me such joy to know that I am able to put a smile on someone's face :)
Anywho, back to the challenge. An odd choice for papers, but they are bright and fun, perfect for little monkeys!

Hambo Hoedown-Challenge time!
I decided to go for an older image this time round for the Hambo Hoedown. This one is called "Caterpillar". Its one of my favourites from Timbo! The challenge this week is to use at least 2 different sizes of circles. I have seen this type of circle technique (<-don't know if its actually a technique) done before and thought I'd give it a try. So here is my belated birthday card " WOODn't you know...I forgot your birthday !!

Hambo Challenge #1, 2012 -Happy Newt Year
Happy New Year! A lot of new changes happening this year for me. Firstly, I am the new Challenge DT over at Clear it Out Challenge Blog. If you haven't checked us out, come play along there will be lots of prizes and lots of awesome sponsors! Secondly, I am so excited I have a newly revamped craft room to play in-yeah me! Its almost done, so I'll share some pictures when it is :)
Happy Newt Year is an awesome new digi from Hambo. If you played along last year, you got this cutie for free. If you want some free digis, go grab a freebie and play along you have until Jan 9th!
The Hoedown challenge was to use something new (new to you within the last 3 months).
I have used some new pencil crayons to colour my image as well as the brown argyle paper. For Christmas, my monkeys picked it up at the craft store in a paper pack for me-they thought it was cute.
Thanks for looking and don't forget to come back tomorrow for the Clear it Out Challenge!

It's Hambo time!
Really short post today as I'm running around for Christmas. Here is my entry to the Hambo Challenge this week-corners. I chose to use the news reporter image instead of the one provided for free by playing last week.
Hope you have time to play along amongst the business this week! Have a lovely day, thanks for looking!
I cropped all my corners and added a faux stitch. Sentiment is popped up. I left a blank space under the reporters desk to add "your expecting", or "your engaged" depending on what exciting news we'll here soon.

Hambo Hoedown , Anta Claus is coming to town!
It's Hambo time again! This week we received the fabulous "Anta Claus' digi to play along with. I love the sense of humour Timbo, the creator, has. You can play along too, just use any Hambo image or pick up the Anta Claus one in their store. If you play along, you get next weeks image for free-cool huh?
This week we were to make a card with more than one fold. Although there are tons of tutorials, I winged my fold card. And you can tell. So please be smarter than I was an google some tutorials-lol.

Let it snow at the Hambo Hoedown!
It's challenge time at the Hambo Hoedown and the theme is let it snow! Just for playing along last week we received the 'snowball fight' digi for free. You too can get free digis, all you have to do is play along. No Hambo image? Check in their store, you can buy the image or snag a freebie.
Anywho, part of the challenge is to use dry embossing in your card. I used my Big Shot and SU die on my card.
My card has a special meaning this time round. Every year we engage in snow/water fight that last the season with a young single parent family. The girls there enjoy the challenge of 'getting one over' on my boys. They are so into this 'challenge' that my husband has driven over there with the kids and hidden at a neighbours house until they have come home. Only to ambush them with water guns, or snowballs-lol. Surprised? Don't be, those girls are just as sneaky!
So this card will serve as their official notice-Game ON!
I embossed a sheet of white cardstock and cut 3 layers out. Each layered I chalked the edges (which didn't show up in the picture to well). I glittered the 'game on' to help it stand out and popped up the digi

Oh so soft at the Hambo Hoedown!
This weeks challenge at the Hambo Hoedown is to use something soft in your project. If you played last week AND emailed your entry you received this weeks computer image called Soft Wares. Although I did play, I totally forgot (again) to email (sigh)
But never fear, 'cause they are totally awesome and have freebies in their store you can use to play along :) How sweet is that?
Okay my card this week is using the freebie image 'Cool Cat'. An odd choice for this time of year? Perhaps. However my extended family is going away on a trip over Christmas so I thought this card would be fitting! I used felt as my 'soft' thing to make the santa hat. Thanks for looking and don't forget to play along!

Hambo Hoedown Challenge and more!
This week at the Hambo Hoedown the challenge is to use a tag on your project. I thought I would combine this with the challenge Stamping with Dragon which is to use food in your project. (the turkey) and The Cheerful Stamp Pad challenge-add a santa hat.
My card uses a version of the original Hambo Stamp called Wee Henry Turkey ( I added a santa hat to him). Since here in Canada we have already celebrated Thanksgiving, I thought I'd make this a Christmas card.
I haven't decided what to put inside yet but I was thinking something like:
For another turkey dinner (a Christmas dinner invite)
What do you think I should put inside?
Thanks for looking and don't forget to play along!

It's Hambo Time!
Well it may appear that I have not been crafty, or blogging but that is soooo not true. My friend and I are preparing for a craft bazaar, hoping to raise funds for the youth team.
I'll share some of the things I made in another post.
Guess what? I didn't make a card for the Hambo Hoedown. Nope, I made a scrapbook page. I finally decided to print my pictures (ouch that cost hurt, think I waited to long!)
This was one on top and I knew it would fit into this weeks theme. Use the image "camera guy" by Hambo Stamps as well as a frame on your page.
I'll show you my page (pardon the blurriness, I couldn't seem to photograph the page properly-out of practice I suppose-lol) then I'll write about it at the end, in case you want more info :)
Thanks for looking, and don't forget to play along!!
My son went to camp in the summer and they would sing songs, but do it in funny ways. One way was to walk like a fashion lady! So the rest of the summer he would randomly walk around signing "Oh, ya fashion lady" etc. I told him I was going to get a picture of him doing that. I stalked him like the paparazzi. He averted the camera until late summer! Then I got em'! Bah ha ha. The picture has a tag under it to store all the fun memories. I crimped the one corner for texture, added some brads and a twine line clipping on the tags. I chalked the edges, added crystal effects to the lense of the camera for glare. I have more tags to add to the line but I didn't want to share personal info on the net-I'm sure you understand :)
I think it's appropriate for me to also enter this into the DYSU challenge. The song choice for this layout would be 'paparazzi' (giggles)
