Bugaboo on CDAC challenge

It's another awesome challenge on CDAC in the Bugaboo group! This week Min's momma is having a birthday so the challenge is to make a  Birthday card for a Female using RED and BLING
Did you go to check it out? Did you notice my ant card? Did you see what I won?
Yeah! I also won 5 free images-yippee! told you I loved Bugaboo :)
Anywho, here is my card for this week:
The bling is in her hair, over the 'I' in birthday, and in the bottom right corner. I also added sparkle to her glasses. The inside reads: "as awesome as you can be, given your age"  lol
Thanks for looking!

Do you stack up challenge-boys/men

This week I'd like to enter into the DYSU challenge #34 Boys or Man. I had intended on entering into the Bugaboo challenge as well, but I was a little late-oh dear. So this card is for Bugaboo, it explains it all-lol.
Thanks for looking :)

Hambo School themed challenge

It's Hambo Time! AND almost back to school time for my monkeys. It's been a great fun filled summer, but I am so ready for them to go. Anywho, the challenge this week is to use the "pencil" digi from Hambo Stamps and create a school themed card. The recipe also must include red, blue and yellow-primary colours.
The card I made is based on the subject of math. (giggles) I needed an anniversary card this week so according to my calculations.....One cute chick + one cool dude =
13 years of marital bliss! Happy Anniversary (inside)
Not to late to join in, so hop on over and add your creation. You can find the Hambo Hoedown here
The card is meant to be a frame. Red cardstock base, polka dot layer, black layer, red layer, images. On the cute chick I added a bow and sparkled it. I added the words me and you, as well as, faux stitched around the polka dot layer. Both chicks are raised up on pop dots for dimension.
Thanks for looking!

It's time to settle the score at the Hambo Hoedown!

The score....yep that's the challenge. To make score marks on your project this week using the aweome Geranium digi. If you played last week it's free, check out the details and the awesome entries here
For my card I decided to print my image on watercolour paper. I then used markers and an aquapainter to paint the flower. The thanks sentiment is a rub on. I scored around the image and added glitter to make it pop.
I would also like to enter this into the Do you stack up?  challenge: thanks
Thanks for looking :)

It's Hambo Time!

It's been a while since I've played along in the Hambo Hoedown, and I have missed it a lot. Not to mention all the freebie digis I've missed too! This week the challenge was a sketch. You can find the link here
For my card I used an older image from the blog called 'Coffee Girl'. I tried to keep the card clean and simple. Hope to see what you come up with :)

CDAC PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE card #2

Digistamps4joy gave us this cute chef for the free digi progressive challenge on CDAC. Have you checked it out yet? There have already been some amazing, creative cards entered, so head on over, grab your free digis and get creating! You have until the end of the month. Here is the card I made with the chef:

CDAC PROGRESSIVE CHALLENGE is on now!!!

CDAC is having it's first ever progressive challenge! You need to pop over there, become a member and play along. Why? Not only do you get free digi images but there are some cool prizes to win also.
Priscillastyles  gave this digi fan image to work with. Here is what I created with it:

I embossed the background with dots, glittered a bodice shape, and added white cardstock under the skirt to make the colours pop. For the skirt I used vellum. Coloured the backside for muted colours, the right side for bolder colours. I then folded (mountains and valleys) the vellum and flipped down the top part of the fan. Thanks for looking :)

Agh!

Well I have been MIA for a few weeks. With illness', kids off for the summer, etc it has been hectic. To top it all off my darling hubbie DELETED all my pictures-yep all of them *sniff sniff* Hence the title of my post AGH!!!!

Well I have been crafting, but to see my cards this round you will need to go to the challenge sites and check them out :)

The first is NettieG's Digital Gems Fancy Folds Challenge. We were to use our favourite NettieG image and create a fancy fold creation. I love the Mary and Baby Jesus digi and used it in a tri-fold card. You can check it out and enter yourself here.

I recently joined another design team which is right up my alley. It's called Clear it out Tuesday Challenge. This week the challenge is a beach theme and you can win a fabulous prize. But...my favourite part is you use up your stash. Ya know, we all have it. The special paper we are going to use for that special project, that hasn't happened yet. The ribbon that you had to buy and has sat in a drawer ever since etc.
So clear out those drawers and play along. My monkey card and the challenge details can be found here

Looking forward to seeing what you create and hope to have my pictures back soon to post what I have been creating :)
Have a great night,
Laura
