It's Challenge time at Clear it Out!

Tuesday is the start of a brand new challenge at the Clear it Out Blog. There are some exciting new changes coming up and we encourage you to pop over and join the fun!

This week the sponsor is A Day for Daisies. I used the digi Bunny Ears and my 'stash' of pastel papers

I'd also like to enter this card into the DYSU Challenge-use your favourite colour, which for card making, is kraft. I love the neutral tone as it goes with so much!

Thanks for stopping by, feel free to leave a comment and let me know what you think :)

A day for daisies challenge!

I don't enter 'A Day For Daisies' challenges very often. The images are incredibly beautiful, a work of art, and the women that enter the challenges there-DANG, can they colour!! So I have to admit, it intimidates me and inspires me all at the same time.
This week I decided to go for it and enter my card for the 'Pastels' challenge. I used a mermaid freebie found in the ADFD store and did a take on the DT's card made by Lorri for the circles.
I'd also like to enter this into the Bugaboo challenge 'anything goes!'
Thanks for looking!

Less is more with A Day for Daisies

I decided to do another card and combine 2 challenges today. Momma really needed some craft time today (aka the children were c-r-a-z-y monkeys) The first challenge is at Less is More (make a clean and simple card using polka dots). The second is where this great image came from called A Day for Daisies (make a card with texture)
As you may know from previous posts, the style of card making I struggle the most with is CAS cards. I don't know why, I just want to add more stuff to my cards-lol. The card reads " can't wait for a new chapter to begin" I thought that may be fitting for a few different occasions. I ruffed up the edges and paper pieced the child's pjs. So here is my first attempt

And of course because I have to add more, here is my second card (hey I still kept it pretty simple, just added a ribbon for a pop of colour!)
Now go check out their blogs and play along!

Monochromatic Pinks at Stamping Vacation

The challenge until tomorrow at Stamping Vacation is to use pinks. I used an image from a Day for Daisies. Have you seen their stamps? You should go check them out, the artist is uber talented! Anywho, here is my card entry:
The glittery tag is hard to see but it says happy, so this card can be used for many occassions. have a great night!

A day for daisies challenge

I made this vintage card for a challenge at A Day For Daisies. The image was a freebie and just stunning as all the images there are! You still have time to play so head on over and add your card!

Here is my card.  I distressed the edges and did some tearing. I added glitter to the rose and a butterfly that is embossed. I also added the word cherish. I find that smelling a flower can bring back some fond memories, so I thought this would be fitting :)

A day for daisies challenge

This is my first ever entry at A Day For Daisies challenge blog.

The challenge was to use metallics in your card. Wow-did I struggle with this one. I originally had used the freebie digi offered this week but I found it hard to use such a delicate image with the hardness of metals. So I opted to use another image from them. Here is my card entry with lots of metallics :)

Card is silver cardstock, and mermaid had both metallic silver added to her tail as well as her eyelids. Enjoy!
