Do you stack up? 1st challenge post

Do you love prizes? Well then hop on over to the new blog Do you stack up?
http://www.doyoustackup.blogspot.com/
There are lots of opportunities to be creative and extra chances to win by using a digi stamp from a sponsor. The challenge this week was to use buttons. Hello!! My favourite thing. I have made layouts using them in trees, to define space, and on my cards etc. The possibilities are endless (and so are the types of buttons you can get)
Here is my scrapbook layout. I tend to make cards these days but with a baby face like this, its hard to resist-lol.
Did you know you can make your own buttons? All you need is cardstock, a circle punch, glue, and a hole puncher.
Step 1: punch about 5-10 circles in your desired size and colour
Step 2:  glue each circle on top of itself and let dry.
Step 3: using your hole punch, punch two small circles in the middle
Step 4: If you want to you can sandpaper the edges, then embellish your project.

Your can make several of these at once in various sizes. This is great if you want a matching colour but can't find that exact button. Also, you can do this with heart punches, square etc. Let your imagination run wild :)
Have a great day!
