Hambo Hoedown Challenge Time!

I hope you enjoyed the Hambo hop as much as I did. I enjoyed both participating as well as seeing what everyone created! It always amazes me to see how there can be so many interpretations of the same digital image.
That brings me to this weeks Hambo Hoedown challenge. This week we are to CASE-ing (Copy and Share Everything).  There were so many examples to choose from but I chose this image
Isn't that stinkin' cute? If you click on the picture it will take you to the gallery located at Hambo Stamps.
Here is my take on the card using last weeks image Bailey.
I'd also like to enter this into the following challenge:

DYSU-use ribbon

Green Eggs and ..Hambo Blog Hop!

Welcome to "Green Eggs and ......Hambo" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo customers and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict book titles! It might be our favorite book, or just one that was fun to design.
If you arrived here from PAT you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize!

A prize will be awarded to one participant whose book-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a hammin’ jammin’ way!  Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all the blogs along the way. The winners will be announced on the Hoedown blog, as well as on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, February 1.

My creation is based on this book
Nope, never read the book. I did a search on Amazon because I wanted to try and use a Hambo image that one might think is only for a specific occasion. So I chose this image (St. Pat Hamster), and searched the key words rainbow and pot of gold. Here is my take on the book:
May your pot be filled with happiness...

and a couple of bucks too! (that is a Canadian toonie attached worth $2.00)

Now dance on over to Stephanie for another great book!

Melonheadz rocks!

I just adore Nikki over at Melonheadz. She has adorable images and even takes requests! She has a fabulous store and gives away a lot of digis. If you haven't been there in the last few days you have missed her free take on the 'red riding hood' series. But do not worry, she bundled them up and is selling them in her store (lucky you!!)
So how cute are her images you ask? Take a peak at this :)
I made this tag with kraft cardstock, twine, white gel pen, and sticky strip from ... Reflections ? (Not sure it was in my stash)
Go hop on over, browse, and see if there is something you like, you won't be disappointed!

The Outlawz Colour Challenge

The place: The Outlawz. A fun place to craft, chat and win some prizes
The challenge: make a card using black, white, gypsy red AND emboss
The digi: my choice was a mime image from Wonderstrange
(click on the highlighted words to go to the sites)
Here is my card:
The black paper is embossed with an argyle pattern. I added 2 black gems and a button on the bottom to continue the colour through the card.
I couldn't think of a funny (or otherwise) sentiment for this one before I ran out of 'mime' to post it (lol-yes I know that was bad) Leave me a comment if you think of one!

A little thank you

Here is a card, a thank you, for a lovely lady named Paulette. She is the owner of Create with TLC. Paulette has a wonderful digital store but also loves to give away freebies. On her site you'll find worart, vintage digis she has restored and more. I have no artistic ability, so my way of saying thanks is with my 'crafty' abilities, a card :)
You can find this lovely digi at Paulette's site. Thanks Paulette for your generosity!

A new challenge Darla's Digi Challenge

So I was hanging out at my favourite freebie digi site and came across this adorable image, which led me to a new challenge site digidarlas. The challenge is "Happiness is".
For me happiness is knowing the hubbie is there, but this card could really be for any friend. I didn't do a whole lot to the card, simply because the image is so stinkin cute!
Thanks for looking. Now go pick up this cutie and play along (she's free for a short time)
hugs xox

It's Hambo time!

Its time for a new challenge from the Hambo Hoedown and your not going to want to miss this one! Not only have we been introduced to a digi line called 'Bailey' but check this out. You can make a card and make a difference to a little one.

Send A Smile 4 Kids is a charitable blog created for the purpose of collecting donated handmade cards to be distributed to children while they are inpatient at Children’s Hospitals.

I love to make cards and give them away. In 2007  I started 'anonymously' making cards for our church to give to those in need. Those who are shut-ins, those in the hospital, those who have lost, and those special celebrations. It gives me such joy to know that I am able to put a smile on someone's face :)

Anywho, back to the challenge.  An odd choice for papers, but they are bright and fun, perfect for little monkeys!
 Thanks for looking!

CDAC Progressive challenge #10

Here is another card I made for the CDAC challenge. Using, of course, one of my favourite digital artists Bugaboo!
Challenge is open til next week so pop on over and join the fun!

It's time for another fabulous CLEAR IT OUT challenge!

Okay I'm a little biased since I came up with the theme challenge, but hey, it was still fun to do. With the re organization of my craft room I have come across all sorts of things to 'clear out' so watch for some awesome upcoming challenges!!

The sponsor for this week is My Grafico. We got to play around with this cute peguin image.
The theme:  'Staying Warm' The twist: use up your leftover holiday scraps!
Here is my card:
My papers are Basic Grey (forget the name but they have snowflakes on them). The ribbon is from SU and the sentiment I printed from the computer. I added some glitter to the bottom of the ice :0) I should mention too that this is smaller than an average card (about 3.5x3.5 ishy <-hey I was using up my scraps and just went with the size-lol) Would be great to use as a tag!
Thanks for looking!
Hope you'll play along with us!

A day for daisies challenge!

I don't enter 'A Day For Daisies' challenges very often. The images are incredibly beautiful, a work of art, and the women that enter the challenges there-DANG, can they colour!! So I have to admit, it intimidates me and inspires me all at the same time.
This week I decided to go for it and enter my card for the 'Pastels' challenge. I used a mermaid freebie found in the ADFD store and did a take on the DT's card made by Lorri for the circles.
I'd also like to enter this into the Bugaboo challenge 'anything goes!'
Thanks for looking!

Hambo Hoedown-Challenge time!

I decided to go for an older image this time round for the Hambo Hoedown. This one is called "Caterpillar". Its one of my favourites from Timbo! The challenge this week is to use at least 2 different sizes of circles. I have seen this type of circle technique (<-don't know if its actually a technique) done before and thought I'd give it a try. So here is my belated birthday card " WOODn't you know...I forgot your birthday !!
Thanks for looking :)

Outlawz Colour Challenge

Hi :)
This weeks colour challenge over at The Outlawz is Coral, White, Kraft Brown. Here is my entry using a Bugaboo digital Stamp. Thanks for popping by :)

Outlawz Greeting Challenge

Hello, I have another entry to The Outlawz for you today. It is for the greeting card challenge-use a book stamp or be inspired by a book. This image from Dulemba suits this challenge perfectly. I love the stack of books with the sentiment on it "fairy tales". I pulled this journal out of my 'things to repurpose' drawer and knew it would be perfect!

I cut 2 books off the bottom og this image so that the fairy was sitting under the flower :)
Thanks for looking!

Outlawz CAS Challenge

Here is a quick card I made up for the CAS challenge at the Outlawz. The sentiment is a rubon and the flower I made out of an old t-shirt. Thank for looking :)

DYSU challenge Rainbow of Colours #3

Here is my third entry to the DYSU challenge. We had to use the photo as inspiration and make a card using 3 colours. My card here is one I did for my sisters baby shower. I cannot for the life of me remember where I got that little monkey from so if you know-please send me a note :)

Thanks for looking!

DYSU challenge Rainbow of Colours #2

It's the DYSU challenge blogs first anniversary and they are ready to party! Using the inspiration photo the challenge is to use at least 3 colours on your card. This is my second entry. As you know I am dedicated to clearing out my stash so I used a left over card base and added this uber cute little boy from here.
The colours I used were greens, yellows, and reds. Thanks for looking :)

DYSU challenge Rainbow of Colours #1

DYSU has turned one and they are celebrating with a party! The challenge is to use the inspiration image and make a card using at least 3 of the colours.
Here is my first entry :)

I made a chocolate bar holder for my hubbie from the kids. His birthday is in a few days and the kids wanted to give him a gift each day leading up to his birthday. Its a BIG milestone this year (teehee) so we thought we'd spoil him. My 3 year old decided he needed chocolate, so this is what I made to give it to him.

Hambo Challenge #1, 2012 -Happy Newt Year

Happy New Year! A lot of new changes happening this year for me. Firstly, I am the new Challenge DT over at Clear it Out Challenge Blog. If you haven't checked us out, come play along there will be lots of prizes and lots of awesome sponsors! Secondly, I am so excited I have a newly revamped craft room to play in-yeah me! Its almost done, so I'll share some pictures when it is :)

Happy Newt Year is an awesome new digi from Hambo. If you played along last year, you got this cutie for free.  If you want some free digis, go grab a freebie and play along you have until Jan 9th!
The Hoedown challenge was to use something new (new to you within the last 3 months).
I have used some new pencil crayons to colour my image as well as the brown argyle paper. For Christmas, my monkeys picked it up at the craft store in a paper pack for me-they thought it was cute.
Thanks for looking and don't forget to come back tomorrow for the Clear it Out Challenge!
