Hambo Hoedown, this just in......

It's Hambo time again!  The challenge is to use newspaper and the awesome new digi called "newscaster". Want him? You can play along this week at the Hoedown by clicking on the link. AND if you play this week you get a free image for next week too! Here is my entry. I ripped up newspaper, and coloured the digis. On the inside I wrote " or is 11pm to late for you now that you are so much older"  lol  That's why I love Hambo-fun images! Thanks for checking it out.

DYSU challenge take 2

I have been busy preparing items for our Church craft sale to help send youth on a missions trip. One of the things I have been playing around with is ornaments and paper trees. Anywho, here is one of my ornaments, original tree protypes and of course a Bugaboo image for uber cuteness!
I am entering it into the DYSU challenge this week (use trees). Still time to play along so go check it out.

After seeing the pictures I think I may spray paint my tree with gold flecks and use this large tree as a stand for displaying the other ornaments. Maybe I'll attach a brad to the pages and hang it from there.....hmmm. What do you think?

Hambo Hoedown Challenge-Zombie Bunny

This weeks challenge at the Hoedown is to follow the sketch using 'zombie bunny' and one of the sentiments it comes with. I chose to flip the sketch, print the bunnies on kraft cardstock, and colour them lightly. I added mesh behind the image on top of splattered orange cardstock and faux stitched the one side. I really, really wanted to add more but tried to stay true to the sketch. Enjoy!

Less is more with A Day for Daisies

I decided to do another card and combine 2 challenges today. Momma really needed some craft time today (aka the children were c-r-a-z-y monkeys) The first challenge is at Less is More (make a clean and simple card using polka dots). The second is where this great image came from called A Day for Daisies (make a card with texture)
As you may know from previous posts, the style of card making I struggle the most with is CAS cards. I don't know why, I just want to add more stuff to my cards-lol. The card reads " can't wait for a new chapter to begin" I thought that may be fitting for a few different occasions. I ruffed up the edges and paper pieced the child's pjs. So here is my first attempt

And of course because I have to add more, here is my second card (hey I still kept it pretty simple, just added a ribbon for a pop of colour!)
Now go check out their blogs and play along!

Create with TLC and DYSU challenge

Have you seen Paulette's blog-Create with TLC? She has the most fab digis AND she offers up tons of freebies on top of her cool store items. It's not to late to sign up for her Christmas Club, you can check out the details here.
But, if you'd like to have a chance to win a spot in the Christmas club pick up the freebie spooky tree and make a card! Hurry though, the contest ends tonight! Check out all the details here:
This is my challenge entry for TLC as well as DYSU (use trees). I printed the image, then clear embossed it to add shine. I then added some beaded eyes on the owl, ribbon, pop dots, stickers and googlies. Please excuse the picture I was a tad impatient and took the picture before the beads would stick on their own (hey, gotta craft when I have a chance!)
Thanks for looking!

All wrapped up at Hambo & more

Well we had a lovely weekend celebrating my daughter's birthday. Nothing brings me more joy than to see my little ones giggling and having a blast together! I am so blessed to be a mom of 3 beautiful, healthy children.

The little monkeys are all tucked in bed so I've dashed away to the craft room to create some Ghoulish Halloween fun projects.
The All Wrapped Challenge at the Hambo Hoedown blog is to use orange, black, green and purple-my entry is the second picture. The image provided is called "mummy" I messed around with his head so you'll have to check out how to get the original mummy on the blog!

Thanks for looking, have a great night :)

Designed 2 Delight challenge

Can I just say how thankful I am able to play challenges again! I missed playing along with Faith's blog, she has some wonderful stamps. This month the freebie was Hope Butterfly. It's part of a beautiful set you can check out on her site
Here is my card:
Now don't look to close, you'll see all the fighting this card and I had. Smeared glitter all over my hands, dropped ink pad, broken pencil crayons, paper cutter that would only cut about 3/4 of the paper (ya know-would cut the beginning and end but not the middle-grrrr)
This morning was definitely not a great one for crafting but I think overall it turned out ok. The sentiment is a stamp I picked up at the 'M' store on sale. It's it beautiful?
Thanks for looking, now go play, you have til Thursday :)

I'd Chews you-Hambo Hoedown time!

Oh how I've missed being away. But life is slowly getting back to normal. I've had to drop off a few design teams but hope to play along (after all I joined them because I love their digis!!!)
So I'm back with one of my favourite challenge sites -Hambo hoedown!
If you play along too, you'll get a free digi for next week. Check out all the details here.

This weeks awesome freebie is called : Flower Monster. The challenge? To use him as well as an item that starts with your first name. For my card I choose to use lavender and lace. Licorice would have been my first choice but hey, I'm not THAT creative-lol. The lavender paper I had in my stash. The lace was from here. Some really pretty things there.
Thanks for looking :)
